TWIC'S ARE FOR LAW STUDENTS?

Of course, TWIC cards are not required for law students, unless you are maintaining your Master's license with the Coast Guard.

As part of maintaining my Merchant Mariner Credential, I am required to hold a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card issued by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). In the past, this has necessitated two 225--mile round trips (each way) to the Houston Turning Basin to complete the process; one to initiate the TWIC enrollment, and the second to pick up the card, as they were not mailed. This time around, I was able to make an appointment in North Richland Hills at the new "TWIC Enrollment Center." My appointment was for Thursday, August 4, at 1510. I showed up at 1445 due to light traffic, and was done by 1500. To cap it off, they will mail the new TWIC card to my residence! This was a fantastic experience - Bravo Zulu TSA!
